With your pre-made harness, where do the relays for the headlights need to be mounted?

You can mount them anywhere you want. I mounted mine under my battery tray, close to the ground stud for the forward light harness

I can build a kit to mount them wherever you want. The caveat to that is you want the powered runs to be as short as possible. Relays as close in line from the power source and the powered item. Under the battery tray or backside of radiator support or good locations. If you have access to the front of rad support on passenger side, that is one of the best locations to keep the wires short. B bodies generally don't have a nice access route on the passenger side through the radiator support.

Putting relays in the cabin, not an efficient approach. Get asked that a lot.

If you would like a special kit, shoot me an email or message and we can get something designed for you. No extra charge for that.

What was the "Wire Around" again Rob? Seems I wanted info on one after getting the 4-light harness from you but at that time I was seriously sidetracked with moving from MD to VA and lost track of most things I was involved in on-line lol. Thanks for the kit though! brightened up the road ahead of my car indeedy :thumbsup:

@Bryan H

The wire around is a cable from alternator to starter relay. Relieves the bulkhead of the majority of charge load. Mad Electric has a write up about it. I don't do things the same way as Mad does.

@Crackedback
Rob, I have seen Mad's wiring and diagrams as well and the idea is along the same lines. Its all geared to getting the high amp stuff away from the smaller helpless wiring and components which is a good thing. I do like how your kit is put together and how neat the wiring looks. Its a professional looking piece to say the least and is quite easily mounted under the hood somewhere. Thanks for the info.... and I do remember getting that from you. It explains the heavy, neatly put together wire I have left over in my kit. I must have put it in the same box w/headlight wiring to keep it all together before moving South!

I also just read about your fight this past December and am glad you are recovering well from it! Praying for ya man in hopes it helps get you back to going in the direction you want. Thanks for all the advice and a really nice product!!

Hello,
I'm interested in kits for 70 challenger and 67 GTX.
What is your current pricing and delivery schedule?
Thanks

@Danny Boy

Same price as in the original post, 160 for 4 headlight cars + shipping. I do discount a little for multiple purchases at same time.

Usually takes a few days after payment is received to ship out. I had a heart attack in late december and still moving a bit slower than normal.

Holy crap! I hope that you are feeling better!
I sent you a PM at FABO asking about you email address, whether it was as written or all jammed together like usual.

I'll put together an order in the future

Hope you get feeling better

BTW, I'm in no hurry and maybe would be better to allow you to convalesce before placing an order.

Best,
Danny

I still have to feed myself and these kits help put food on the table. I just don't go out and work 6-8 hours one day to put them together, more like a couple hours each day as necessary.

All good and I appreciate the consideration. Any time you are ready, let me know.

Rob

Will PM you.
Please 2x you inbox to make sure it isn't full as last time I couldn't get thru
Best,
Danny

I received mine today and plan to install soon. It looks very nice.

Good to read that it went in easily and met your expectations. Thanks for the purchase.

I can build these for brand X stuff too if anyone knows an interested party.
I need a wiring harness in my 77 b300 sportsman,440 holley 750 vac secondaries.

just recieved and installed my headlight relay bypass kit. very happy with quality and construction of this kit, also works great, true plug and play simplicity. had rob construct an a/c clutch cycling relay also. it was exactly what i wanted and hope to have it working in the near future.

Got it replied and thanks for the order!
I have a question. I have your headlight harness in my 67 belvedere. It is nice, and bright on the right side but dimmer on the left side. Your harness is not the problem. My dome light stays on even when i unplug the connector and ground it to the body. The right rear taillight comes on with the headlights, but the left rear does not. No backup lights, or park/ turn signals. It is a new dash harness, rear body harness, headlight, engine, wiper harnesses are new The headlight, wiper switch dimmer switch are all new also. I have a power probe, and it shows good grounds. The taillights work when i feed power directly to them. Every ground is on bare steel. Sorry for the long winded dissertation, but i am just perplexed.

Got more materials ordered. US built wire has increased in price nearly 100% from last year.

Still going strong and getting better from the medical issue everyday.

Rob

@Crackedback, your inbox is full. I’d like to speak with you about a headlight harness for a ‘73 Road Runner when time permits.
