My car (68 Hemi charger) came originally with special clutch discs in 727B trans . I rebuilt the trans in 1990 and the front clutches had special design on them to allow fluid the stay on clutch discs so clutches didn't ware out fast. I want to get front clutch set as a back up for my trans. Front drum on 727 A trans 4 clutches standard front drum on hemi 727 B trans takes 5 clutches. Mopar parts made 40 to 50 were made better than the stuff that comes into the United States because the parts are cheaply made for price. bob horman 708 687 1187

I've used Raybestos tans in 700 hp applications. When servicing the trans at 700 passes you could still read the ink for the brand and date codes on the face of the clutches. There are lots of very good clutches out there. But not my call.
