Trying to clarify it my pie pan is correct. 69 charger with 383 hp motor. The tin that's on it now says 383 commando. Shouldn't it be magnum? I thought plymouth used the commando and dodge the magnum.

Thanks all. That's what I thought. Anyone have one to sell or trade with the one I have?

Perhaps the engine believes it was born a Plymouth.
Then it actually a "transbrand".
Not that there's anything wrong with that...

One like at the top? I think they are made in a orange, and another more of a red.

I have always liked the pie tins. I even added a Chrysler 440 TNT to my 74 New Yorker with a 440. Not era correct I know.

I believe it may have been possible to have a 383 Magnum with a four speed in a Charger...but that's all.

I have been told some 383 4bbls 4 speed Chargers were painted orange, but they still lack the windage tray, and Magnum/Roadrunner camshaft.
I was not there when they built them, So I cant be 100%, but all of the homework I have done points to the 383 Magnum being used ONLY for the Super Bee for 1968, and 1969.
And any 1968, 1969 Charger should have the 330HP 4bbl 383 as the only 4bbl 383, you could get in a Charger.
The 335hp Roadrunner/Magnum 383 started out in 1968 as a UNIQUE engine option, used just in the Roadrunners and Super Bee cars to make them a touch different.
Now 1970 I dont know, As Mopar expanded the 383 Magnum as base engine for Challenger R/T, but I think 1971 MAY have been the first time Charger got the 383 Magnum.

Also with Chrysler, never say never, LOL.
