I'm loading up on parts for a big block/ 4 speed od transmission swap. I've found a 46RH trans and yes I know they have a small block bell and will be adapting a Ultra Bell. The trans I found does have a 3 prong switch which tells me it has a lock up converter but also a electronic speedo attachment on the tailshaft. Is it just a matter of swapping it out for a cable driven unit or is there more to it?

You can swap out the assembly... I just broke down three O/D trannies yesterday, one had a electronic transducer that unscrewed leaving the cable attachment, another had a single piece transducer... & the third had the hole plugged...

Is this going into a B-body? If so, what do you do with torsion bar cross-member because of bulk of OD chunk?

Oh, OK, you have lots of room there for that. Should be a nice project. Good luck with it.
Sorry for misleading but your a very informative group. I picked up a '65 413 out of a Imperial for it and along with the 4 speed auto should be smooth driver.
