I know this isn’t a truck site however, I am excited to share a new addition with everyone. I’ve been looking at trucks for a while mainly to have some thing functional to haul and tow things. After looking a lot I found a 1966D 200 318 poly, four speed on the floor. Went to look at it this morning. Totally solid truck, zero dents, 46,000 miles which based on the condition of the truck seems possibly original. Current owner bought it as a project, got unmotivated, put a lot of money into rebuilding the heads, the carburetor and the radiator. It has basically sat for the last two years. Hoping to bring it home in about two weeks. Has some light surface rust where he took off all of the trim to have it polished. It has all hardware but was removed to be re-chromed or polished. Best of all, it has a period correct gun rack in the back window. LOL

Was listed at 3500 and ended up getting it for 2500. I don’t think trucks are gaining popularity. I think that price for how solid and straight it is will be nothing compared to what they may go up to. It’s got numbers matching engine and transmission as well.

That's cool....I have 4 of them...all 67's. Same grille and interior but the door handles on the 67 were push button vs the refrigerator handle style. 67's also got the LA motor. Good that your is rust free....the parts for these aren't easy to find....that's why I have 4 of them in the rust belt. I hope to eventually make 2 runners out of them.

That's a cool truck. We bought our first house in 1973. The previous owners left so much crap on the property that I decided I needed to buy a truck to clean it up and haul it away. I found a 1966 Dodge D100, slant 6, 3-speed on column, step side 8' box. It was a very reliable old girl that have pretty good gas mileage. I used to loan it to friends to haul their stuff on the condition that it was returned with a full gas tank. If I could lend it a couple of times a month, I never had to buy gas for it. Sadly, these trucks did not fare well up here in the rust belt. The cowl corners, foot wells and cab corners always rotted out. The tin worm finally ate mine.

nice pick em' up

Way cool ! I love those old trucks! Poly power is pretty neat with a four gear!
Score!

Looks like a good buy. I love the sweptlines.
