I hit a deer a couple years ago.476ft it traveled after hitting a sign & crossing the road
On my motorcycle.
I cut the deer in half with the bike. The bike weighed 460lbs with a full tank. I go about 210 in full gear.
I was going 70+ on the bike. Not quite 80. Not sure exactly, but judging from where the needle was in relation to the gauge as I went over the bars...it was in that area. Ish.
*I* slid 320 feet up the road, on my back (yes, that would be a football field), feet-first, burning most of the soles off my boots trying to slow/stop the slide.
The bike went more than twice that, nearly 750 feet, on its side.
Clear, flat road, no obstacles (other than bambi lol).
If 460 lbs can go 700 feet on its own while hitting nothing along the way, after cutting a deer in half...something the size of that SUV going nearly 500 feet, after hitting obstacles and crossing a road, and doing that much damage? Was going WAY more than 35mph. It would have gone a LOT further if it hadn't hit whatever it did, to push the front bumper back to the front doors.
