Does anyone reproduce the hood louvers themselves? I have seen that the chrome trim is available.

If they're for the charger, it would look better without them.
If you want the scoop look than get a WO23 scoop. Dealers would install them and allegedly some hemi cars came with them.

Just toying with the idea at the moment. The scoop is bigger than I want, but the hood is pretty plain as it is.

I don't seem to be able to access the sled city website. My computer says it is blocked as unsecure.

I would look for another hood to cut up.
Shame to slice up the original.
They can be found I have one I'll probably get my son to start fitting a scoop on it soon.

Your 1966 charger or coronet hood will not have the cot outs underneath to mount it properly, more butchery, or longer studs that may hang down and have air cleaner interference.

It's kind of funny you ask where to purchase hood louvers and people give opinions about if you should install them.

Thanks, that one is pretty rough looking. I am not adverse to making things fit, I installed factory scoops on my 69 cuda. Still haven't made up my mind yet though. I do appreciate all the comments.

You will need a 1967 hood with proper cut outs in under hood bracing for scoop attachment.

To directly answer your question... No one reproduces the 67 R/T hood louver that I’ve seen.

You can get the chrome trim edges but not the actual ‘scoop’.

Here is a hood with the Scoop holes. They are on the underbracing also. There is a large circle of material that protrudes down from the scoop and fills in those large holes positioning the scoop. Then a special stamped nut with a wide base that holds it to the hood.

Found this locally for a decent price. It is going to need new chrome trim, and several layers of paint removed. Only has 5 out of 9 original studs, so it will need some epoxy work as well. Looking forward to getting it cleaned up and painted. From the look of the underside it was originally dark green.

That paint underside is not Factory

the chrome finish is all A brushed satin, not a full shine like a mirror.

The chrome is pretty pitted, but I'll try and clean it up first. I can see orange paint under the black. We'll see what we find underneath.
