What is everyone working on in the off season.

Just purchased this Savoy back in October. Need to tear the engine down to see if any thing is salvageable. PO threw a couple rods last run at the track.

home made carbon fiber hood and scoop from a buddy of mine. He brought it today. Not super light but lighter than my AAR. 19.5# w/scoop vs 37#. I need to trim around the rear pins so itll set flat. But fits nice. Good gaps and straight. Also new 4150 style carbs from Mark Whitener at Lightning carbs. They are in transit as well. Eddys are going on the shelf.

Looks nice. Met Mark a couple weeks ago. Talked to him about going thru my e85 carb. I'm about an hr north of him during the winter and he told me to bring it by. I expected to drop it off and pickup later. Nope he went thru it right then and there. He's a great guy to talk to. He shared a lot of info and showed me stuff he developed.

I was impressed with Mark as well. Going from box stock Eddy 750s. So I'm betting there will be some improved performance. Really just looking for consistency more than anything. With only one battery removed and the new hood, race ready weight should be down to around 3290-3300. Damn thing better get into the 8s

Thanks! It’s been a load of fun, this one took a pretty good load of cash too. Oh well, we’ll just have to switch to no name bologna for awhile lol.

Thanks! Hey that’s my exact thoughts about you and your car too Doug! One thing about this car, the exhaust sure smells rotten (pump gas) compared to race fuel.

Have a contract on my house so I'll be staying in my work n play hauler but found out that the floor needs work so the wife and I tore up the rubber and I need 3 sheets of 3/4 advantex . I tried but couldn't load pictures something wrong with my phone.

Bit the bullet, bought a 4 post hoist and got Charger #2 in the garage. It is tight but it all fits.
