Haven't got much done today except to run one of my PD's to the vet and ordered some parts online. About to take another pain pill but got to go easy since my P-dog is still at the vet and will have to pick him up.....soon I hope. Wish they would hurry up! Got some new....well better wiper blades on the old Dakota at least. One was about to start leaving it's mark so it needed to come off now. They will at least pass inspection if they even bother to look. I don't do much wet weather driving anymore and sure don't at night so no biggie if they leave streaks. Sucks getting old but imo, I'm still blessed!

Does it hurt to the touch, or bend and put weight on it? If you didn't bang or stress it, it could be early stage of gout? Yeah, I hate those why does this hurt when I didn't do **** pains! Good Luck

Mostly hurts when I have a shoe on. At least I have one that allows me to go someplace without having to cut the toe out of it. I can put weight on it but it's mostly the pressure the shoe exerts on the top. It's like I have an in-grown nail but can't see any evidence of that....

Maybe not a toe but I still feel your pain! After spending the last month or 2 tiling a basement room then installing radiant heat flooring and hardwood in another my knee is killing me! Just the other day I was taking a **** and for whatever reason squeezed my knee... Holy crap it feels like a big puss sack inside, all squishy:eek:. Feels like there's 1/2" of water under the skin, hope it doesn't mean anything because I'm leaving for vacation in a week where we walk 10 miles a day!

Cranky you got gout or something ?
did you drop something on it ?
stub it on something ?

you can't remember :drinks: while 6 beers in

sucks to have foot problems
hope you feel better soon

Early stages of Arthur's-itis?

oh just wait till they tap it....feels great once it’s done but that 6” needle really gets your attention!!!

PD bite maybe? Hope the little critter is all right. Might try some heat and later some ice on the toe. Might even try elevating your foot.

I get Gout every once in a while, usually after eating Oysters. I drink straight Black Cherry juice the kind you get from Whole foods mkt. It will make you pucker so just add some vodka. Pain is gone the next day.

Lots of sympathy being shown here.

Hope it heals up for you soon Cranky - can you tape the affected toe to the one next to it? That might help keep it inline with the others while you have to wear shoes.

Having all sorts of injuries over the decades doesn’t seem to matter much ‘where’ it is…it’s a friggin hassle! It’s then you get an appreciation for whatever body part is affected just how much you rely on that part of your body every day you never gave a thought to. Learning to wipe da hinder with the other hand is a bitch or unable to walk 10-feet without searing pain with a back injury...I’ll stop here before a wall of text is built…lol

I had a couple very sore toes recently and it was my favorite pair of shoes causing it.They were a year old looked fine and I walk allot.
I got a new pair and within a week all is good now.

So much for social distancing....!!

You can also get it in pill form, cr8crshr does that when cherries aren't in season.
A bad case of Toejam maybe?

I’m blessed too at my age doing pretty much what I’ve always done just with more recovery aches and pains doing what I’ve always done. Hearing sucks, eyesight has gone downhill while my gut got larger. In my youth I’d look at older guys wondering how they could let themselves go with the pot guts…well WDF, I friggin know why now! Just keep eating and drinking like ya did 30 years ago despite staying as active as you’ve been and pack on poundage unless you acquire a diet of lettuce for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I don’t mind lettuce; but ya can’t enjoy pasta when yer dead…

Cranky if it is ingrown just have the doc pull the nail off.
I had my right one done. He gave me a shot in the toe to numb it.
Split down the center and out it comes.
What a relief.
Took a long time to grow back and it came back straight. No more problem.

I do have arthritis in the big toe joint on the other foot. Not much I can do for it that's a simple fix. I just use aspercream on it. Seems to help.
Hope you get some relief foot problems suck.

I worked in a healthcare related field for over 39 years. Be VERY careful having toe nails removed. I saw a few extremely bad results. If there is a problem with a stiff big toe joint, the sole can be rockered to take the pressure off the end of the toe. I would not recommend nail removal unless the absolute LAST resort.
