Fun place to visit.... these 2 guys have insane skills. All made from flat steel (or old refrigerators), these are NOT modified real car sheet metal.

Well Ernie was there and his buddy who also is building that Impala. I got special treatment since the reason I was up there was to get some spindles to put disks on the wife's Dart and Alan asked if I would stop by and drop off a tiny radiator to Ernie.

We were there last year. Amazing workmanship. They enjoy showing the cars. A fun place to stop.

Heading to Bondurant in Chandler next week. Perfect stop on the trip. Thanks Jim.

I saw that on Jay Leno's show too

pretty damn cool, how the ol' guy builds them
he had said early on to Jay, that;
uses refrigerators & other appliances for body parts etc.
then shaped them, powered by lil' 4 bangers
make a bunch of the stuff from scratch especially the nobs & handles etc.

:thumbsup:

:thankyou:

I remember the dwarf race cars and thought this thread was about that! Same as midget racing? Got the opportunity to get into on of those racers and well, I was way too big at 5'9" but was able to get in it. No way could I race it though. The guy that owned it had a shoe size of 6......

The one race car (99) photo was the car that started those races, according to them.
