If removing the toenail is good removing the toe has to be better. You'll never have the problem again.

Cranky - I have used a product over the years called “Outgro”. It’s comes in a small bottle and is applied topically. It has an antiseptic, a mild pain killer and toughens the skin around the nail. It works well for me. I remember my parents using it as well many, many years ago. I believe I had to order it online as the local pharmacies did not stock it,.
