Hello all,
Been a lurker here for about a month or so. This place is a treasure trove!
Thought I would join. Last summer I worked on patching up my 1990 Ramcharger, soon to be daily driven once I know the WI salt is gone.
This year I will be working on a car I picked up Thanksgiving weekend last year- a 1978 B body Dodge Monaco. This car was a former county owned detectives car. As such, it was likely washed 5 times a week and thus survived the WI winters in an original, rust free condition. It is not a police package car, but it was special ordered with many of the police goodies, like the 140mph speedo, factory trans temp gauge, the usual suspects for the suspension and brakes etc. Original 400 has been plucked out, but I will be dropping in a '69 383 in place of the worked over 318 placeholder engine once I take care of some basic things on the car.
Once I pull the car out I will try to get some pictures up. Still winter in WI! Getting cabin fever!
