Here is the question. I have and automatic trans. support. But have put the A833 manual in. The support is for an automatic. It look's like I could cut away all the metal for the auto. It has the holes for the manual rubber mount on the bottom. Could save money and time if I can cut away the metal on it for the auto. Has any one done this and have a suggestion if I need to weld any other support into it. Thanks for the help.

You can modify your mount no problem, or post up a wanted ad on here for a manual model. Thought I saw one pop up for sale recently.

Do I need to put any support in the inside of the member. Where the rubber support goes. Like on each side of it. Or just cut out that plate to allow the support to go in.

I just sold one on here but ....brewers performance makes reproduction that is excellent

I just cut the cage off of the outside and carved out the top plate to fit the mount in and it fits fine. Saves some money for to buy other stuff :)

No. Just cut, grind smooth, paint, and use.

You could see if you can find one for cheap and use it instead and sell yours to someone who needs an automatic one. The style you have is also for manual trans 1970 and up I believe.

I agree with the above inputs. In my experience the manual ones always seem tougher to come by. I've modified 3 A/T mounts over the years and never had a problem with it. Pretty easy to do.

Thanks guy's. Yep a little cutting here and their then welded some of those pieces up well. Cleaned up the weld's then painted it. Going in tomorrow. Thanks all for the advice. About two hours and it was done. Do not have time to wait and saved money in the long run.
