Hi, im new to this forum and hoping to learn a bunch about my car! I'm 18, i live in southern BC, Canada where thankfully there's quite a large car community (unfortunately covids ruining a bit of that for this year). I have a 1962 plymouth belvedere with a push button automatic that im hoping to get driving by next year for its 60th birthday. I have some pretty tall goals for it, like a hemi swap from its current 318 poly to maybe a stroked 426 to 572? Where does an 18y old get that kind of money? 2 places, i work for lordco auto parts so if you're local you'll recognize the name, so through that i get a wicked discount to go along with my minimum wage, and im currently getting a 1974 chevy nova that i picked up for $4500 ready for collectors plates so i can sell it to make some cash, as well as ill be picking up a 1967 chevy impala ss at the end of the month with the same goal. Pics are my belvedere and the nova

Welcome and good luck from NJ! Thanx for posting the pics.:)

Welcome from Alabama, I like your lofty goals and the planned way to get there. Keep up the hard work.

Nice ride! And everyone needs goals to keep them motivated. Welcome from NW PA. RUFFCUT

Hi Tonz, good luck with the project! You work for Lordco? I work for Alder Auto. :)
:welcome:

You guys in BC. Lower mainland have
better weather than us. You have lofty goals. If you want to enjoy the car, suggest getting it running for now. Work on the Hemi later.
Extremely nice to see someone at your age attempting this.

I was considering that but i think my time this summer will be taken up with the cars i plan to flip instead of working on the belvedere. Doesn't mean i cant ride in (somewhat) stlye! Come summer time i dont have to drive my sisters to school which means no more gmc envoy, i get to enjoy my lil 2 seater '76 triumph tr7 with a chevy 350 under the hood.. also, thank for the kind words, they're appreciated
