What did you do to your Mopar today?

Cleaned out the carb, ordered trans cooler lines and fittings and replaced front shock bushings. Installed new throttle cable bracket and attempted to adjust throttle cable.

Been too long since I've turned a wrench on this car, so naturally I've misplaced a bunch of parts because "I'll just put that down over here, I'm sure I'll reinstall it tomorrow..."

The hunt continues!

I played that game today on reassembling a 727 that's been hanging around in pieces for a year or more.. Had everything but the damn wedge that rides the end of the band adjust bolt... Found it after a hour of emptying every can and jar and bowl of crap in the garage. Lost one front pump bolt and right after I finished and cleaned off the bench I found the damn bolt..lol.

Placed an order on RockAuto for spare spark plugs.....half the price of Summit. :rolleyes:

And I'll get another fridge magnet. :lol:
I got stiffed on my last order with them, kiwi. No magnet in the box. That was early October. I thought maybe they stopped throwing them in.

I put the new wipers on the Charger today and now they clear the hood properly.:thumbsup: :lol: :steering:

I had two separate consignments in the same order arrive beginning of Feb.....magnet in each box.

Pays to check under the flaps. :thumbsup: Only one box of all the ones that I have ever received didn't have a magnet...and the box was torn up....I guess the Fedex Man got that one. :rolleyes:

91 octane is about $4.20 a gallon right now. As a result, I'm trying alternative energy for the Charger but so far no luck...

:rofl::rofl::rofl: Nice work. :D

I changed my plugs yesterday....with some help. :rolleyes: Fouled up a bit from everyone poking around and wanting a 'look listen' in my absence I suspect. :eek: It's a bit more of a task than with a car... gave it a good wash also. Checked the trans rear flange also - had a small weep, and refilled the trans fluid. Also changed the speedometer drive pinion as a result of a change in gears to 3.23 from 4.10

after putting outer tie rods on my Buddies son Sentra, I pulled the rear wheels on our 66 Satellite - Fixed them so they will be ready for the new tires. Had to wait for 3 weeks for them to show - you know because of the dinosaur flu. Person before me had slicks pinned to the wheels. I put on BFG G-Force Dot Drag Radials 325/50R15's four years ago. They were on custom made Drag Lite Wheels ( 15- 10.5 with a 6.75 Backspace) Have just gotten a pair of Mickey Thompson 295/65R15 ET Street S/S. All dimensions the same except the height. BFG's 27.9 Mickey's 30.28 So today I dismounted, went to a hardware store got twenty two 1/4 x 20 Set screws ( 5 for each side of the wheels and two for mistakes or spares if no mistakes made). Tapped the holes in the wheels that were left by the pins screwed into drag slicks - put in the set screws with some red loc-tite. The wheels held air ok even with the holes, as they (the holes) were in the lip of wheel beyond where bead of the tire does it's sealing, but they looked ugly. Wheels aluminum set screws black. Tires so tall may have to disconnect rear shocks to let axle hang a bit to get them in the wheel wells. To get the BFG's out had to raise high enough so tires were not touching the ground and suspension hanging at full relax. So might have to let hang even lower. Have added 3" wider wheel tub's, but that gives just enough room on the factory rear quarters. I figure going from just shy of 28" tall to a bit beyond 30" should change the MPG on a 690HP engine in a 3500LB. car from 8-9mpg to 30-31mpg. What do ya all think???? Type went ya stop laughing!

All you need to do is rip out 4 spark plug wires to make it a 4 cylinder and you'll be fine!!! :fool:
