Cutting to the Chase - '71 RR Value

I would definitely go for it at that price.
Love the colors on it! That's how I want mine to look when it's done:

A guy in New Orleans East where me and most of my friends used to live, especially back in the 70s and 80s when we were heavy into the car scene (heck, most of us still are) this guy had a factory stock 71 Roadrunner 383 Pistol Grip sitting in his driveway. His uncovered driveway...
Year after year, at least one of us would ask if he wanted to sell it. It wasn't moving, it NEVER moved.
It looked like the Portrait Of Dorian Gray, as year after year it gradually got worse. Tire getting low, lower, flat. You know the story.
We think Katrina finally put it out of its misery.
SAD.
I've got another story like that. 71 GTX parked next to a house by the Hudson River that was 'my uncle's and I'm gonna fix it up someday'. After years of sitting in a yard that would flood from the river overflowing in storms it finally had a for sale sign in it. I picked it up for $400 and took every useable part I could. The rocker moldings and radio delete dash got me 5 times my money back and the complete drivetrain is in my satellite. Car was literally ripped almost in half getting it on the flatbed to the wrecking yard

Haven’t done the deal yet. We tentatively agreed to meet this coming weekend, weather permitting, but now he wants to add his cost of getting tag and title updated, from when he purchased it, to MY purchase price.

I’d hate to walk away over a couple hundred bucks but that doesn’t sit right with me. If I offer to sell a vehicle and say it has a title, any cost of getting that title up to date and ready for another transfer is on me, not the next buyer. Or maybe I’m wrong.....

$6500 for a old Mopar that is not in box's and holes big enough to put your fingers through is defiantly worth it.

Especially if you like them.

Just pray to the cowl gods. look close

Yeah definitely off, may be changing his mind, however if it was me, I'd smile and happily pay it..but that's me

Got it sorted out. Back on track. Picked up the car hauler from a buddy today and scheduled to bring the bird home on Sunday, weather permitting.

Nice! I had my eyes on a blue 71 Satellite a couple months back, guy was asking $7500 and it was only a 318 car. In decent shape but not a 340 RR. Two or three days on craigslist and it was gone. You'll be alright!

Yay!

Helll yeah. Get that bird running up and down the road asap!

Gorgeous!

Awesome: I can never rest until they're home in the driveway.

Man. I was physically/mentally drained after I got it all into the shop and finally had time to soak it in. The family had a great time looking it over, while I wanted to pass out.

The only thing I did tonight was pull the back seat to look for a broadcast sheet. Found a corner. Mice got the rest.
