I was flirting with the idea I might replace the trunk pan on my '68 Charger while I was replacing the gas tank but I can't see paying over one third (or more) of the cost of the panel on shipping. I think I'll have to live with the 80s sheet metal repair done with an acetylene torch. Besides, it's never just the trunk pan is it - trunk drop-offs, lower valence, lower quarter patches.....

All the items I bought from AMD were decent on shipping. Get a big enough order and I will bet that it wont cost that much.

Jeg's and Summit carry AMD and offer shipping deals based on $$$ spent. Right now, Summit has free shipping to Canada for orders over $300. Don't know if this applies to oversize or not.

I know I wanted to order a 6 Pack lift off hood from Illinois. Shipping to Pennsylvania came in just under $400

I order the larger panels from a supplier with in driving distance to save on the shipping and to inspect what i buy.

A lot of times a big car show in your area will have body panel vendors there and if you coordinate with them ahead of time and buy the parts they will bring your order
to the show and you can pick up for no cost at all
