They most likely do 12 "snips" all around the prostate gland for biopsy.
When i had my snips done, i blacked out from snip number 5, to snip number 12.
Just remember hearing, "I'm done" and that was the end of my biopsy.
My PSA reading was up to 7.6 when the biopsy was done on me.
I was being monitored for the past previous year, so i guess it was no surprise after the biopsy, that i came back positive.
My PSA levels kept going up.
After all these years, the medical world does consider me a "survivor"

One consideration is how fast it is growing. Some are borderline and they just watch for a change, testing more often. That would be good as who knows when the next breakthrough will be. There is also a genetic test that can give an idea of how fast it is likely to grow.
