These was actually print pictures that were developed at the grocery store. Remember having to take film to get developed?
The advent of digital pictures has changed a lot of things!

It was a Saturday. I saw the car advertised in the classifieds for $2500, then lowered to $2100 just before I called.
XP29 model, a Charger 500 with a 318, 904 and an 8 1/4" axle. 4 wheel non power drums!

Look at how far sunk in the stock 14" wheels sit!

I should have kept these wheel covers just to hang on the wall.

The seller had moved to Southern CA and had 2 cars. He kept one and was selling this....

The car he kept was a 1973 Mercury Cougar!

...and you didn't keep it green?

Green inside and out with a white vinyl top.

Within a year, I had swapped in a 440 and put 15" wheels on it to fit over the 12" Cordoba rotors.

I think it looked cleaner with the hubcaps!

The car had been repainted twice and was looking pretty shabby when I bought it. I wanted RED. I'd never had a red car before so I went that route. I have grown to like green though.
The day I bought it, the seller was hung over from the night before. I worked a deal...$1700 and BOOM, I'm a Charger owner!

I would have got him drinkin' and tried for $1500.
What can I say, I'm Dutch.
(Still a good deal)

Damn, that's nearly the spitting image of mine (wrong shade of green, and wrong top color), and nearly the same setup - 318, 904, 8.25, manual drums, tiny wheels (but different wheel covers)...although these days, they cost quite a bit more than $1700! Nice score!

Got any green parts left that are just taking up space?

I once bought a 70 Coronet parts car from a lady who was so out of it she could barely take my money.

Listed it in the Sunday paper for $500 and then was uber lit by noon!

Cut off shorts, bleach blond, loose halter top, too much makeup, always a lit cigarette (or two).

You know the type.

You made it what it is today, well done!!!

After the Camaro picture, I was afraid we'd be seeing an ugly guy with a mullet and gold chains...
Dodged a bullet there.
