Has anyone else seen this car

I had heard rumors that "B" body posters
were a bit 'tight'. I absolutely had no
intention of insulting anyone. I think
the hood scoop on that car looks
out of place. It may be the best invention
Mopar ever developed, it doesn't, in my
opinion, fit the concept of the vehicle.
If you're gonna chop the top off of an
iconic vehicle, one should be innovative
enough to follow through with the design
and design something that better fits
the overall appearances. And this is only
my opinion.
It fits because I said it fits, they have been making six pack hoods for Chargers for close to 50 years, they have sold thousands of them,If people didn't like them, then they wouldn't make them to this day,now would they?

I didn't chop the top off,the car is a factory convertible.
Ahhh...come on now. This new guy doesn't know your history.
My point, for those that do not follow....Is that you don't join a forum and then insult longtime members.
Earn your place.
Bide your time.
Befriend the members and then IF you post something that seems rude, maybe they will chalk it up to an isolated incident instead of a new member being rude.
Think of it like you would after starting a new job. You don't insult a man's work after being on the job for 3 weeks.
I did....once. It was 14 years ago. I started a job with a school district and indirectly insulted a longtime employee's work. He had many friends and allies there.
I learned from it.

Your probably not going to like the hood I fabricated for my Daytona stock car much either then, but what can I say, I am just not that innovative?

I like it because it's your innovation.
If it fits your needs, go for it.

Thanks, Kern Dog,
I think you understand where I'm coming
from. I have no intention of stepping on
any one's toes. I am entitled to my
own opinion. My apologies if I've offended
Mother Mopar.

Outstanding work Chargervert, a real attention to detail, and I know how hard it is to make all the pieces come together and make them fit let alone make them look like they belong there. Kudos

Thanks, they were fun projects, but after doing two of them,I don't think I would do another one. My 70 Road Runner convertible has proven to be more work than I anticipated, but with only 824 of them ever built it's worth saving it.

I like them all as long as they are mopar! I just have to figure out what you were thinking and how did you do that... I’m always curious.

I only have one car that isn't a Mopar out of the twenty one that I got. It's kind of a Mopar step child though,it's a little two seater sports car,a 69 AMX 390 4 speed.

Had a AMX...Impressive for what it was.
The AMC 390 was a good motor.

You're not going to make any friends by insulting a forum member's car.

My personal opinion wasn't to "insult" the owner of the car. It's just based on my personal taste in design and that's all. I often type what I feel, without a filter. If the owner of the car was offended, I will apologize and we can move on like adults. Like America, this forum is comprised of enthusiasts from all walks of life, certain likes and dislikes, etc. We can all agree to disagree on certain subjects, opinions etc. That's what makes America and hobbies like this great. I happen to think that the second generation Charger could be the best looking car of the muscle car era. With all of it's sweeping body lines, etc. However, on the car in question, when you remove the top a lot of those lines seem to get lost and that is the basis for my personal opinion.........

I agree. I think the car looks better with a stock roof. I wouldn't insult a car of a popular member especially if I just joined a forum.
