Hey Guys My 69 Satellite Came With Power Window and Some Of The Switches Are Broken.. The Price For New Switches Is $120 - $200. Not Too Keen On Using 50 Year Old Switches If I Don’t Have To.

Is It Possible To Use An Aftermarket Harness Such as An Electric Life One?

Or Does Anyone Refurbish These Harnesses?

I Purchased The Relay Kit From Member Crackedback

Repro switches are available now.

There is also a guy that rebuilds them.

Check ebay for both.

Those in the pic above are generic gm style.

IMO the correct switches look way better, esp if your car was a factory PW car.

If you have the original power window harness, contact M&H electric. They will use it for a pattern to build a brand new correct harness.

As long as the wiring harness is NOT ALREADY being offered by Year One in their reproduction parts.

OER

IIRC

They are on ebay among other places.

...and the price point caused the guy that rebuilds OEM units (also on ebay) to reduce his prices quite a bit.

Interesting. I have not been able to find them, eBay or otherwise.

My bad, I was looking for '65-'68 switches. I missed the OP had a '69.

The 65-68 ones don't come up as often, but the rebuild service is the same $$ IIRC.

Not sure if they are reproing those either.

It caused me to just quit rebuilding the '69 and later B Body switches. For the time involved, and the expense of buying cores to use for parts, it made no sense to continue. The repro master switch is about $180. I don't know what quality they are.
I'm still plenty busy repairing the '66-68 version, the '62-'65 version, and all years of Imperial.

As for the harness..... There are no repros that I am aware of. If yours are too hacked up they are all the same, B and C body (except Imperial) from 1969-1978 (?). Even Aspen / Volare / Diplomat had the same harness ends.

My 2¢ worth

There are no repro 66-68 switches.
Feel free to send me a message if you need any / all, or if you need yours rebuilt
