Not sure but possibly an idle kick up for when air conditioning is used or when engine is cold ??

It's a first Generation flux capacitor, sorry, couldn't resist. IDK what that is, watching for education. Good Luck
 
Looks like an idle control to me.....seems like I remember seeing them come out around 70 or so on the bigger cars....?
 
It looks to be a proximity switch that actuates a solenoid.
It's not something I've seen on any pre 76 Mopar.

Yes this man is right so listen to him. That lean Burn transducer from what I remember was like a TPS on that lean burn system. Lean Burn was an early type of feedback carb system and I believe that transducer told the controller the throttle position and when at idle. Its been many years for me as I dont remember if it was an actual potentiometer or just told the controller when at idle and off idle on the gas ? Being I think they were just two wires I dont believe they were an actual potentiometer like a TPS ? Ron
