I had one of the only 4 door max wedge cars. 63 Fury; featured in several magazines back in 1992 and was a feature car at Carlisle in the show building. I purchased through a broker with an ad in Hemmings motor news. Broker (used care salesman) told me the original owner was dead. In the glove box was paper work for the owner. Ishmeal Dew, At that time you called director assistance to get a phone #. She gave me the # and I called. Guess who answered. There were definitely 4 dr maxwedge cars. Yours will obviously be a clone, but leave the doors be, and throw that max in there!
Sold at Hershey to a guy from NY, He brought it back to be judged the following year and I have not seen it since, that was 10 years ago.Where is it today ?

Connie his wife she put him on the phone. Barnwell SC. My wife and I were invited to visit. We arrived with hotel reservations, NOT, they insisted we stay with them. Southern hospitably.
He gave me a tour of his race history room, gave me the original shocks, local news paper articles on his wins and several trophy's. There's a lot more to this story. I did a total resto and won 1st place at Atlantic nationals in 1990 or 91.
I repaired the lower/inner panel on mine with fiberglass and mat. Turned out good.If your still thinking about mini tubbing it check out U.S. car tool for their frame connectors, torque boxes, mini tub kits ,e.c.t. Not sure why they filled your vents but the cowl rotting out is very common to these cars ( driver's side mostly) along with front fender rot behind the brace. Sherman does make a upper and lower cowl patch panel but it's basically junk, needs lots of work to the panel to get it to work. The lower panel which is where your wiper pivot mounts to is very hard find, i couldn't find one so i made my own,p.i.t.a. to get the angles perfect but doable. The more door versions of these cars are becoming more and more "accepted" because their just so damn cool, you gotta love an early B body!
