Hello all, I’m in the process of removing the quarters on my ‘71 Road Runner. I think I’m over complicating this. Do I drill the spot welds out along the rear window channel? Is the quarter panel under the channel or is the channel part of the quarter panel? What’s confusing me is that my AMD panel does not have the round tabs that stick out. See images below. Thanks in advance!

On my 71, the metal guy kept that piece and cut the new panel to fit, those are for your window trim if you take that out you somehow have to reinstall other pins on the new panels.

Thank you everyone. I got it off. PIA!!!! I’ll have to figure out something to add the pins to the AMD quarter.

The older stud guns ( dent puller ) had a tip for spotting on those trim clip studs.
I have also seen those trim clips held on with a small sheet metal screw and a dab of seam sealer.

Thank you 1967coronet! Another member directed me to AMD’s screw studs.

Thanks again everyone for the help. I really appreciate it!
