A dog in CA. went nuts when the 26 Dec. 04 quake hit on the other sided of the world. Started shaking and freaking out and just wanted to go outside. It didn't want to go back in the house afterward and when it did it started shaking again. Weird stuff who that dog reacted.
 
I do because none of our dogs have ever expressed any interest in going down the cellar steps into the basement. I couldn't even drag our collie by the collar. she tried to bite me. The previous owner died at the bottom of the steps. Remy just peers around the corner a little but wont even step in the doorway. Goes up and down all other stairs though.
 
I was in Los Angeles (Riverside actually) when the big 'quake of '87 struck early in the morning. I was alerted by the sudden silence of all the birds and dogs outside. The entire neighbourhood went deathly silent a couple of minutes before the house shook. I was ready waiting under a solid doorway....no sense running outside.....never know if power lines could tumble down.
 
The dog in my story was named Remy also, short for Remington.

We had a cat clawed into the carpet and hissing the night before that one. Never did that before.

when 1 goes off often it has a cause & effect
to a bunch of them

Well I envy yaz, you got Waffle Houses...just made a trek to Miami and back to move our kid back up this way for a new job after she lived there for 4 years. Had two WH breakfasts - with my fav pecan waffles. You can keep Miami though...lol not my cup a tea...

This chick does a space weather report. In the Radio world, this is important news for propagation . The sun has entered into what is known as a "cycle". This is cycle # 25. Bottom line is they try to forecast sun spots, solar flares, etc. According to these people, cycle 25 is "supposed" to be very active with LOTS of spots and flares!

They can try. After 30 years in the military, and combat, I can take care of myself just fine. It would be more likely that I take them out and add their equipment, ammo and food to my own.
