Good morning !
I dug out a laaaarge BF Goodrich banner in the basement; its the one with the green Cuda.
I read there are „originals“ and „reproductions“. and in order not to misrepresent it and to sell for a fair price (beneficiary XS29ff...), has anybody got an idea how to distinguish these two ?
Attached find a few pics , anyinput would ge greatly appreciated, Thanks !

I can’t help with your question, but that’s a cool poster. I remember when those ads came out in the early 90s. The cuda one is awesome. May have been the first time I saw a Mopar in that color. They also had a Jeep Wrangler one that looked pretty great too.

That might be a repop one. I have 3 originals and they say BFG on them and the tie downs are white rope. When I worked at a tire store when those banners came out all of our banners had the white rope to tie them up. I don’t believe the repops have any BFG designs on them for copyright issues, I could be wrong though.

The rope could be a replacement for the old shredded white one that maybe wore out over time?

Don't know about value....but I have an original advertisement of BFG on hard board - like a poster laminated to the board...came from a Tyre Shop my friend worked in about 20 years ago....car featured is an FC7 Dodge Charger (when I can get to it I will post a pic) :)

I've been looking for one of these, but the 3'x2' paper copy. I've got the Pink T/A to match that.

don't know anything about the collectability or value
but like the poster, cool 'cuda
with cool wheel & tire treatments

I don't have much wall space in the garage :BangHead:

I love those BFG Posters, ads, and banners. I collect them. I had one that had my red '97 Camaro SS. It fell apart after a few years on the wall. I wish I could find another. Let me know what you decide to do with yours!

That BDP 20764 Is Original Stock #

Made in the late 90s

So is the double black stitching and black ropes along with double white stitching and white ropes

Originals also had that shiny white backing , because they where not made out of vinyl

They where actually made out of some kind of plastic - They would crack over the years if folded or exposed to the elements or just time

Mine cracked just hanging in the garage from heat and winter cold over twenty years

I bought around 10 of these over a few years at the Mopar Nationals for around $25 per

The other was a pink Challenger TA

Early versions had "When You re Ready To Get Serious" that ran the length of the car above the roof

And then your version

3’ 1/4" X 9’ 11"

I only have one now hanging in my garage

I sold the others for between $350 - $500 per on EBay some years ago

Reproductions are more vinyl material , and much more durable

Maybe they where like our Mopars

Depends what plant they where made at , Friday production or Monday , AM shift versus PM

LOL

I like that a lot!!

I had one, but it was a tire stack cover. It went over a stack of 4 or 5 tires. I cut it up and made a wall hanger out of it. It lasted about 10 years and then crumbled to pieces.

Gentlemen,
Thank you very much for the input, highly appreciated !
So it is an original, maybe has not crumbled because it was stored in the basement over the years. Actually has been bought in 97; that fits as well.
I will look for a way to ship it to the US, (Colorado Springs, maybe...?) over here it is not appreciated enough. Will show up in the „for sale“ section soon..
Thanks again and cheers !
