Looking for feedback on a company called.........Best Buy Automotive Equipment.

Best Buy Auto Equipment - Car Lifts, Tire Changers, Wheel Balancers

I'm looking to purchase a new lift for my shop and would like to know if anyone has dealt specifically with this company. And if so, what was the outcome? Good, bad, ugly?

Your experiences are welcomed and appreciated. Thanks!

Mohawk lifts... out of New York... made in USA... go back many years with them... excellent.

That just looks like one of 1,000 websites that retails products for other companies. No different than Amazon/JC Whitney/Summit/Jegs/Etc.

I was a fan of rotary (old stuff) , now I strictly look for made in USA and brand doesn’t matter as feel better about it..,even if it’s ancient, works and parts are available I wouldn’t hesitate, just get it inspected if you have any doubts... I know rotary is a global company and I don’t think there are any issues but global doesn’t mean much to me.. don’t be bashful on capacity either.

I don't know if Any are Made In USA anymore ? I like my BendPac, but China Now...

I have a 70's vintage Weaver twin post. Been in my shop since '94. Bullet proof. Fabricated from 3/4" and 1" thick steel. 4" diameter rams and HD leaf chain.

Mohawks are tuff, too.

I'm not sure if this will be on Best Buy or Bend Pak or both. I was shopping for a 9k lb four post lift. Had been looking at Back Yard Buddy and the BP. The Buddy site showed them spinning a four post around with a Camaro on the ramps. I asked BB if the BP could do that also. They said yes, just not heavier than say 5k lb. Bought the BP from BB as the package deal with the rolling jack, delivery and setup was better than the BB. After it was put together I loaded my 65 onto it. Went to rotate it around on the supplied dollies and promptly folded two of them over. They are made of 1/4" x 1 1/2" strap. Dummy me, I didn't just get on the horn and go WTF. I just maneuvered the car, on the lift, around in the garage and just let it sit. Later on when I had to move it, I needed up making my own dolly frames out of some heavy wall rectangle tube, some solid for the hinge points. I re-used the casters that were supplied as the rolled better on the floor, they were hard plastic, than the urethane band ones I bought.

I didn't think you could move the 4-post around, with a car on it ? I've been looking at them lately, as I need to increase my storage space. Local company sells Direct Lifts, about $3600, installed, for a 8K Model...

@Mopars & Missiles I bought an 8K lift from Best Buy and installed it myself. Easy to deal with them. They have local shipping outfits all over and they just hold a few of the popular lifts for Best Buy’s. I went with my utility trailer and they loaded it for me. If you want it installed, I don’t know how they do that. I got the Autolift model. Works well, but the castors don’t (bad design of the fulcrum). After rising/lowering a half dozen times without trouble, it now leaks hydraulic fluid (about a few teaspoons full) somewhere on the top of the hydraulic cylinder each time I lower it from the raised position. For now, I just have a rag handy for that.

Now that my trailer is empty and could find the dollies I made for the lift, here are some shots of them. 1x2 090+ wall tube, solid material inside at the hinge points for the bolts. I also rosette welded them to the tubes so there is better strength in the assemblies. The only thing I re-used from the supplied BP units were the casters.
