Since day one I’ve noticed that the center console is crooked and mis aligned . I have the whole interior out now and it’s very evident. It appears that the center bracket is twisted and higher up one side which explains why the console is also twisted along with the top metal finish panel and the console door. I’m wanting to cut off the center bracket and re weld it to make it level so everything lines up and the console can sit level . This car is all original and hasn’t been tampered with . Has anyone seen this before? Any constructive comments , suggestions, would be appreciated .

Best thing to do is sit the bare body of the console over the brackets, and see how the alignment goes.

The solution as to which bracket to alter will become apparent fairly quickly.

There was a thread on this last year. Console is offset to driver side. tunnel I think isn't centered.

Here's the thread posts #17 and #18.
Can't see front bracket. Are you talking about second bracket in picture ?

If you find it is off, I would put a slight bend in the left leg to pull it down level instead of cutting the bracket off and rewelding. A little jog in the leg will bring the top down nicely.

My bad - yes, the second bracket is what I was referencing as you are correct, can't really see the first one.

Wonder if the driveshaft tunnel is angled toward passengers side front to back? The rear yoke is offset to passengers side.

I agree, nothing to lose by bending the leg of the bracket. I’d bend the leg and remove the console top and check the alignment. The only thing that I don’t remember is if there’s any screws that hold the console to the side of the legs.

My thought is to try bending the left front arm inward a bit as well. Maybe you will get lucky.
