Going through all the wiring on my car and replacing some of the harnesses and finding a few uncertainties along the way.

Can anyone identify for me where the factory tach wire penetrated the firewall? From all the wiring diagrams I've looked at, it wasn't a bulkhead connection. However someone had drilled a vacant terminal space on on of my bulkhead plugs and run it through there - an incorrect route I'm pretty sure.

Also, where is the engine to body ground strap supposed to be run? This car has a hemi engine and I've been over and under it a lot but haven't actually found a ground strap from the engine to the frame/body - unless it's wrapped in with the starter harness. Engine compartment is so crowded by the engine it's hard to look everywhere behind it.

Thanks

I know on a '70 car there is a 7/8" rubber plug that has the single wire go through it just near the brake booster/master cylinder.

I don't know for certain, but there might be a tooling indentation in that vicinity in your '67.

Passengers side head to firewall. same type bolt of that holds voltage regulator on.

Thanks - I’ll check those areas out.

Tach wire comes thru firewall on pass side , down low below the heater box / heater hoses

Mine has factory tach and can snap off a picture for your tomorrow afternoon when its daylight

I think I remember seeing a small hole down low in that area. The plug was missing and I installed one.

OK - another question specific to the Hemi 66 model. Pretty sure the fusible link has been replaced on my car over at the starter relay. Probably from the same event that fried the alternator wire to the bulkhead.

When I look up the fusible link for this car this is what I find:

1966-74 A B E-Body Hemi Engine Forward Light Harness Fus... (yearone.com)

There are two pigtails on the fuse/eyelet bolting to the relay. One (spade connector) is the connection to the bulkhead wire. But what does the pigtail with the smaller eyelet bolt to? My car doesn't have this pigtail on the apparently incorrect fusible link and I'm not seeing it on any of he hemi wiring diagrams I have including the 66 FSM supplement.

Possibly connects to center terminal of horn relay?? A close up photo of the entire fender panel would be helpful as mine may be (ahem) customized. The Hemi specific diagrams show a terminal block in the line to the "B" post on the relay and I'm not sure mine is set up correctly now.

I will get a picture of the relay area as well

Adding to the above - what is the gizmo I have circled in this picture of the 66 relay panel?

The wiring diagrams call it a "terminal block" but that doesn't seem to show up for sale in all my googling and parts house searches. It appears to show the eyelet pig tail bolting to it and the terminal pig tail going to the plug on the horn relay. Anyone know where to buy one of these or what to call it?

My cars up in the air on a lift and a car crowded in under it so I haven't even been able to see what I have there yet.

That pic looks awful familiar to me.

Really - found it on the internet in a Google collage of photos. Do you know what that gizmo is and where it can be found?

If you find one expect to A LOT. Saw one on ebay 5 years ago $300. A piece of plastic with a stud in it?

I guess I'm famous, then? LOL I'd recognize my rust anywhere!
I don't know what to call it other than what you mentioned. Maybe check with Tony D'Agostino - Tony's Parts?

Is it just an isolated (ungrounded) terminal point?

Not sure never really looked. Wiring diagram for that can't see it in mymopar ones.

Fran - This is from the 66 Hemi Supplement to the FSM. I assume what is circled in red is the terminal.

It looks like it's just in-line between the bulkhead connector and starter relay terminal. I don't see any other lead connected to it?

Bulkhead hole Z on the interior diagram in the 66 SM go to amp gauge interior diagram out of amp gauge to accessory circuit breaker. Is there an interior page in the amazon supplemental diagram?
