Help cleaning EGR PORT.

A big problem when this passage is plugged is no heat to atomize the fuel in the intake so it’s running poorly anyway. All of your emissions readings should improve with fixing this.

I have a 360 that’s needs this done and it’s hard to have it run decent in the winter. Summer is doable, but you can smell it the exhaust isn’t running right.

I can have the temp gauge up and heater hot. Put your hand on the crossover in the intake and it’s still cool. That doesn’t work to well on an 8:1 compression smog engine.

Uh yeah, no thanks. I am not even gonna try to start into this spaghetti mess of wires and hoses. I’d rather pay someone $450 to deal with this.

No Egr = High NOX. If tested Static it should not even come into the picture. Under load like on a EPA style dyno Oh ya.

IMO.....
WHY do you want or need to re-activate the EGR system? Most or almost all the time, the introduction of EGR in the incoming fuel charge, cripples the performance by lowering the combustion chamber temps to insure or eliminate NOx formation (NO2 - nitrogen dioxide and N20 - nitric oxide), which occur at ~1600°F. NOx is reported to contribute to the formation of photo chemical pollution or SMOG. Newer engines use variable valve timing, gasoline direct injection, high compression ratios, etc, and acieve significant more horsepower, with lower emissions and greater MPG
If you want to present a "correct" appearing engine installation, for your particular model/year, there are ways to have the various EGR components present but non functional. Since your existing EGR system is non functional now, why go thru the effort to reactivate it? Just asking a question....

I'm thinking because in Cali your vehicle has to pass inspection in order to get certified to be able to drive it at all!

Uhh, because California sucks fat balls And I need to pass emissions.

I thought that was how your suppose to drive them , hard , up through the gears and down, foot to the floor on launch , still do
