I need help with a 2013 Kia Soul. I need to find a used transmission and I need to know if the vehicle has Intelligent Stop and Go in order to get the correct transmission.
I have VIN numbers off of a couple of donor cars that I can not go see for myself. I called the dealer and they were not much help.
I need someone to run the VIN to see if these cars have ISG.
Can anyone help ?
Thanks

I would call a different dealer. Talk to parts department and ask them if they could run a VIN for you and tell you if vehicle has your option. Shouldn't be a problem. I do it sometimes if I need to know gear ratios or trans id quickly. I do have a shop, though. If you have trouble with first dealer, tell next one, " Hello, this is Joe from Precision Automotive" or whatever.

also a body shop with computer estimate system can run your vin.
it will give the the drive train info as well.

For Kia Bodies only?
No , all makes, with crash writer , mitchel , ect programs for late model cars & light trucks.
Drive train components if high lighted are in there searched by vin.
You can highlight / pick a transaxle, intake manifold, transmission , rear axle , ect ect.
Once you pick the component it will give you the info on it according to the vin for that car.
I just wanted to let him know if the Kia dealer would not help.
( that to me sounds strange )
He can access the info through a body shop also.

The two people at the Kia dealer were not very knowledgeable on how to read a VIN breakdown. I think that they were young and didn't have the experience on finding the info that I needed. And of course like most younger people when they were hit with something difficult, they said that they couldn't find what I needed instead of actually putting in some effort.

Today I will call another Kia dealer in another town.
