I'm new here to this forum. I have a question on my 69 coronet. I'm doing a brake job on it and I want to replace the front drums. Looking around on the world wide net all I see is drums for sell with out the hub?? Has anyone removed the drum from the hub and how???? I'm posting a picture of the hub and drum together and then just a hub that needs a drum on it. Thanks for the help.

What is wrong with your drums? Can the be turned and cleaned up? I have a nice pair of front drums from my 68 Charger that I upgraded to disc. From what I remember, 11" drums were used on big block cars and 10" on small block cars so they were not all the same. My Charger was a 383 car so had the 11" drums. Mine are complete with spindles bearings and shoes. PM me if interested.

My drums are original to the car. That is why I was looking at replacing them. They are date coded. I was looking for a PM icon to ask you about your drums.

I still don't understand why you want to replace them.......I guess what I mean by PM is "Personal Message" The way you do that is to click on my Icon and you will see a "start a private conversation". Click on that and proceed.

Your original drums are better quality than anything you can buy today. I reuse them whenever possible.

383’s can come with 10” drums also.

Entire Hub & Drum Assemblies WERE available, but no company has made them in over 40 years....
.....I had some N.O.S. Front Hub & Drums as recently as about 7 - 8 years ago, but they are all Sold now....

I do have N.O.S. 11" x 3" Front Drums U.S.A. made
(Big Block) &
I do have N.O.S. 10" x 2 1/2" Front Drums U.S.A. made
(Small Block) &
As correctly pointed out above, the 383 could go both ways , so if 10" then 10" & if 11" then 11".....

I also have N.O.S. ++ Asbestos ++ Brake Shoes --- the softest, smoooooothest braking system known to mankind, and such that you don't rip up Brake Drums to smithereens....
I have also Wheel Cylinders, Brake Hoses, Brake Hardware, Emergency Brake Cables, and Wheel Bearings & Seals.....

As per forum rules, P.M. me if interested......
