Hello guys and greetings from Finland

I have 1967 Belvedere with all drum brakes and started to do a brake job.
I found out that I have same size drums 11" x 2,5" on all four corners.
While trying to find new drums for front they all seem to bee 11" x 3"
Has there even been an option to have 11"x 2,5" front drums?

Car has been a round in Finland since new, so it might have seen more than its fare share of "mechanics", and also parts availability before internet might caused that they have been swapped on some point.

Thanks Antti

Not sure but I don’t think so. Maybe it’s possible to mount a rear drum on the front - I never had a reason to try but I can’t think of why it wouldn’t go on. But then I haven’t had any coffee yet.

You may want to contact Mike Wilkins from Music City Mopar Club. He is a Technical Editor for Mopar Connection Magazine. Good luck

Antti,
There has NEVER been 11" x 2 1/2" on the Front of
Any Mopar.
Big Block "B" bodies are 11" x 3" on the Front and
11" x 1/2" on the Rear ONLY.....

I have N.O.S. U.S.A. made Brake Drums for both Front & Rear, N.O.S. ++ Asbestos ++ Brake Shoes for Front & Rear, Wheel Cylinders, Brake Hoses, and Wheel Bearings &
Seals, all U.S.A. made -- & all 100.00% correct.....

Should try to find a 10 x 1 1/2 rear drum for a 66 Belvedere lol

Antti,
There is NO such thing as 10" x 1 1/2" either....
Small Block "B" Bodies were 10" x 2 1/2" Front & Rear, ONLY.....
Then there were 6 cylinders -- they are different....
A different 10" x 2 1/2" Front Drum, and 10" x 1 3/4"
Rear, but still a Big Bolt Pattern --- NOT the same as the "A" body small bit pattern, at all......

Tell my car that it didn't have 10 x 1.5's on it.....well, at least the shoes measured 1.5" wide. They sure weren't 1 3/4". I got the car in 88 and it had sat for many years and was the most original car I have ever got during those years. It even had the old belts, hoses and small parts that were replaced with a very thorough log book. It even had gas fillups with dates and mileage until the guy died and his grandson sold it to me and there wasn't much of a time lapse when it stopped and I bought the car. It's a Belvedere I /6 car with factory AC, automatic and rubber mats and not rusted! Came with the 7 1/4 rear and still had the push clips on the rear drums and it needed brakes very badly. The drums were grooved over .100" and I wasn't ready to throw in an 8 3/4 quite yet and couldn't find replacement drums anywhere so I machined them myself to get most of the grooves out....and yes, I machined .090 out of them dang things. I know how to measure brake shoes and drums and couldn't believe what I was seeing either....and it still had the push clips on the lugs which were another non-believing event.

Hello guys
A small update on this.
It seems indeed that in some point somebody has managed to swap 11x2,5 drums on front, they were swedged and all, and looked factory made.

Brake shoes were also 2.5 but of course being too narrow they had worn guite funny.

I managed to get hold of drums here in Finland so got the car running and driving once again.
To my disappointment I do have fair amount shaking when braking so new drums were not very good quality. I was thinking of getin them turned if that will help.

Does someone know to which tolerances i should aim?
