I bought the harness and switch out of a 69. The pin switch is too small. Am I missing something or is there a different size for a 1970 coronet?

Thats weird. They are usually self tapping, wonder if yours was overtightened before you changed it?

I just looked at my 69 Coronet and it is self tapping as well.
Wonder if the hole got wallowed out at some point or maybe the 70's use a bigger diameter switch ?

A simple solution is to just grind off the threaded part of the tab and put a nut on the threads.

You might need one like this: For 70 and up may-be? They are a push in. I don't see any threads in the hole and it looks like it needs a bushing (see my example).

might be wrong one for a 70 Coronet.

The trunk bracket is too thick to allow a nut to thread onto it.

Found this on ebay. Says its for a 1968 Satellite. looks way bigger. So is my thinner pin switch just for the charger or did someone mislabel this part?

Is this what it should look like? Plastic looks too modern for a 70 coronet. what's the tab for near the push in?

Here's what I have on my 68 Road Runner. If it threads in I am hoping that somewhere under that primer are some threads........

Yea. I looks like it’s the wrong one for a 68-70 Roadrunner or coronet.

so is it for a charger then?

I just measured my virgin 69 Bee hole and it's 8.4mm. And yes its painted.
