New member, but not new to Mopar.

Picked up this 66 Coronet 500 from brother in-law. Because he decided to build his 55 Plymouth instead.
It's fairly solid other then little rust behind back tire's and dent behind driver door.
It was at one time used heavily as a street racer till 2003. And it hasn't been in the road since then.

I got a lot of work ahead of me. But im excited to start on it after I finish my new house renovation in couple month's.

Kick *** looking car! What are you're plans for it? I've got a 67 Coronet R/T project i'm starting work on this summer. The only complaint i've got is with the size of those whitetails! Just kidding, a couple of those look pretty decent!

First off its awesome you have a 67 R/T. That will be my next car purchase.

Im going to fix the body and paint it kinda close to the original Medium Turquoise Poly, and redo the interior in black instead of original blue.
Redo the suspension with a HDK setup on the front, 4 wheel disk brakes and 17 inch version of poverty steel wheels(I like the steel wheel's. I'm weird like that.)
Stroking a 383 out to 432 for powerplant

Its a 500 that came with a 361. So not super concerned with original. lol

Looks like a great car, they aren't easy to find! I am not to far from NE kansas...Planning on racing at Topeka this summer hopefully!

That's cool. Looks like a really solid start. I like that blue with black interior combo. Mine is originally blue with dark blue interior 440 magnum console auto. The guy i got it from used it as a parts car for a 67 Hemi Coronet R/T so i've been hunting down the parts he took off of it. I'm gonna try to restore it myself pretty close to original colors but maybe a little flashier blue on the exterior paint and some new 15" magnum wheels to replace the 14" originals. Trying my best to do it on a limited budget which isn't always easy with a coronet. Some of these parts are like unobtanium!

Welcome from NH sea coast. You had me with Medium Turquoise. Beautiful color

I agree obviously. Its a color that works with the body lines really well......... My brother in-law also wanted it to be that color, since this is his dream car. But he realized this was abbig project to take on while also farming 1,200 acres and having 200+ cattle. So he deserves to see it in that color.
