What I do is 1- bypass the ammeter and convert to a voltmeter. 2-Install a one wire alternator and a power feed like this direct to the battery. https://www.painlessperformance.com/wc/30700 3-Install headlamp relays to eliminate headlamp draw through the car harness. 4-Either replace your old wiring or disassemble the bulkhead, clean and tighten up all the terminals. .

Thanks, but I can't go this route, already bought the alternator. I did buy 8 GA wire to the starter relay with a 12 GA fusible link. This was recommended for a 95 amp alternator.

Getting the Alternator battery wire upgraded and out of the bulkhead will be a plus.
