While cleaning up my '65 Barracuda bucket seat tracks (see photos) I found today there is an incline/tilt adjustment as well as a fore/aft adjustment built right in from the factory. Except for the six-way adjustable driver's seat option, do our BBodies afford any such adjustment? Thank you.

Never seen that on a 71-74 seat track.

66 B is adjustable similar to that.

67 is not.

There was a recline option in 71-74, available IIRC for either or both sides, but it's super rare.

I have only ever seen one car with it personally.

Very interesting. I would have guessed 'no way'. Thanks for the info.

66 B is really a height adjustment and not a recline.

Do you have any info on this? Option code? Out of the thousands of 71-4 B's that I've seen over the decades I've never seen or heard of this other than the 71 only manual 6-way drivers seat which I have.

Yes, I thought the same. I'd never come across a 71-74 bucket recliner back in the day, or since then.

AS FAR I KNOW just manual 6 ways seats for DRIVER bucket 71/74 B bodies and all E bodies. Since 75 they got powered.

Can't recall if also 68/70 B bodies ? or any A body

BUT nothing for passenger side

Code C62... Charger section of 71 Dealership book

Not shown on earliers, neither A bodies from those years, but allways on the ones shown, just driver side

Did the seat backs recline in any of the 6 way options? (forward-reverse, front up-down, rear up-down) Is that what Dibbons was asking about?

I never have heard a SEAT BACKS recline, but the whole seat including bottom. Several European cars of those years did, but USA cars ? not at least low and mid priced lines... or small-medium bodies

On a 6 way, the whole seat pivots bringing the front seat edge up and the rear top down.

I don't call that a true recline.

I might be thinking of 75/76 back recline that can bolt into 71-74.

(shhhhh, best kept secret) $20 M body power driver track is 95% the same as $800 "six way" power track.

I have added and removed donuts to get what I wanted. But no back only recline as the back safety latch doesn't allow for much.

I know C-bodies had reclining front passenger seats. I had a 72 NYB with that option. I've seen it on a 70 Fury as well.

we had them from 71 VH valiant, they came as standard. the top button is to get into the car, the lower one is for recline
