A lost and unique Chrysler... from Mexico.

There are a few vehicles made in Mexico that we don't get. The ram charger was one of them.
 
I wish we would have gotten this one years ago.

Yes indeed, of course the most famous was the a/f body super bee, and as you stated the ram charger and the mix and match of a bodies during the 70's

I saw one of them in the early 90s while in Mexico. It was called the "Volare Superbee." 77-78? It had a higher compression 360 4-barrel on regular leaded gas. I asked "Volare is a Plymouth. Superbee is a Dodge. This car has neither badging. So which is it?" The only answer I got was "Si" I guess it was built from parts from both. To at least that day? It was said it was the fastest car Mexico ever built. I have inquired for one possibly forsale in subsequent years of travel. But found none. (I thought I would figure out how to get into the States and title it later?) Lol.

:lol: ...For the non familiar there was no simple answer but ma mopar sold all kind of a bodies mixing fronts and ends , besides Plymouth was never sold as a brand here in Mexico, the high compression 360 was rated At 300 hp, yes those cars are scarce as a hens teeth here in Mexico, a friend have one a f body super bee, burgundy almost new with the original paint, yes those cars were even used by the federal police here in Mexico

I know they exist. I also know that Mexican Chrysler operations had even less regard for production standards. Thus, may very well be possible that the car right after a car on the line be very different. The "Numbers matching" crowd would just throw in the towel trying to figure out production consistency. So one would literally have a "Unique" production built car.

:lol:Tell me about it, my coronet is labeled as a 440, but has the rally dash and I stupidly trow away the original 318, 340 heads and a forged crank shaft rated at 280 hp, besides I have no idea how to decode my original fender tag is made of a material like aluminum but brittle not steel.

Lol. It sounds like it may be worse than I first thought? When I saw that Volare way back when. It certainly sounded different than most other cars I see buzzing around Mexico. So certainly grabbed my attention. (Alot of older style VWs.) This is just on the pacific side. I've never visited the gulf side. Only one short stint in Mexico City.

The classic car scene in Mexico is more let's say... unique, yes you can see a lot of classic car from the US of course ( we are neighbors for good or bad) how is that possible IMHO of course we don't have the attachment to any local brand , there is none, so is more or less is own what you like and us available, my car for examples us one of four b bodies I've seen in 45 years I know for a fact because it was portrait in a local car magazine that there's at least one daytona hemi 4 speed orange here in Mexico, my grand oacis own from new a 1959 volvo p122 and you can find at the local or national car shows excellent examples of well restored/ preserved classic cars, there's a lot of old vw beetle here or as we call them "vochos" also ford build mustangs here in Mexico, in the late 60's I think, here's the web page of the best classic car show in Mexico, very nice cars.
