ignition/key switch question

Problem solved!!! It was the blue ecu module that I put on a few weeks ago. I didn't notice the starting problem till later, or it may not have started till a while after I swapped it out. Cranks and runs great now with the old orange ecu.. FINALLY!!!!! All the bugs are out.. The only problem left with the car is a little oil leaking, which I try to fix this winter...

IMO you cannot over ground the vehicle, when new the cars obviously worked fine but now 50 years later, the wiring is not what it was and adding grounds can and do help. Put another way, grounds are not harmful and you have nothing to lose by adding them. Why this switch has a grd tab is beyond me but I would probably grd it, it just might help that switch live longer.

I installed all new wiring harnesses, for the dash, engine; console, rear body harness etc. I will also mention they are a stock reproduction harnesses. I used dielectric grease on every connection, and went down to bare metal on the grounds. I did not cut any wire, or patchwork anything together. I know Murphy's law is at work here. I had the new battery checked, and it's 100 percent charged.

Roger that. Yes, the question is that I do not have any electrical activity. No lights,cranking nothing. Like I said in my earlier statement I was pointing out on what I did replacing the wiring. The battery checks out fine. I thought I did everything the right way. I should have communicated that better than what I did.
 
So you have everything connected and no power anywhere? Sounds to me like you don't have the fusible link connected to the system so there is no power coming in.

That is a possibility that I will investigate tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up I appreciate it.
 
Basically the fusible link brings all the power into the system for ignition, lights, etc.

I looked last night, and as sure as the sun rises in the east, the fusible link was in the wrong slot on the bulkhead connector. Just when I thought I was right....boom!
