62 Plymouth manual to power brakes

I am in the process of attempting to convert a 62 to power brakes. I purchased a kit from Mancini that states it will fit a 62. After receiving the MBM MP 710 kit I ordered the first thing I found wrong, other than the vague pretty much useless directions, was that the pre-bent brake lines going from the master cylinder to the proportioning valve had the brake line fittings on the opposite end they should have been on. After bending up some new lines I assembled everything for a trail fit.
I'm not sure if I have something mounted wrong, I don't think I do, but there isn't enough clearance to shut the hood. The hood cross brace hits the master cylinder cap. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a known "kit" that definitely fits in a 62?
I refuse to cut bracing out of a perfect 1962 hood to make this work.
Any advise would be appreciated.

You may try a 2 bolt early 80's Chrysler aluminum/plastic master cylinder.
It is much smaller than the Chevy master you have.
 
To me, it looks like your booster is mounted up too high on the fire wall. Is there a lower set of holes you can use? In the past, I have done my own power disc brake conversions. I have used the booster and master cylinder from late B-vans. The booster is handy right under the hood and bolts to a right angle bracket. No more climbing under a car dash upside-down to unbolt a booster. Maybe someone out there has the proper power brake firewall plate that will help you with correct placement on firewall.
 
Here are pictures of booster on my '64 Polara. Booster is dual diaphragm from late '80's Dodge B-van. Firewall plate is stock '64 power brake piece. I think I had to redrill some holes to match bolt pattern of booster. So long ago, I can't remember for sure.

Is the brake pedal rod centered in the hole in the firewall?
