I have a Stant SP-9 7lbs lev r vent cap on my 69 charger RT 440 is that the correct cap?
And questionable radiator cores that might not be able to handle 16psi!I think those lower lb caps are designed for aluminum radiators.
I have a heater core leak now!And questionable radiator cores that might not be able to handle 16psi!
Damn that high pressure!...just kidding, that does suck. Hopefully it didn't drench your carpet too badI have a heater core leak now!
Just a slight seep. Enough to haze the glass inside. I'm not a fan of stop leak but I might try that first.Damn that high pressure!...just kidding, that does suck. Hopefully it didn't drench your carpet too bad
Tie the hoses together now before it gets worse! I'd pull the box and replace the core before i dump that mess in there, that stuff wreaks havoc wherever it decides to clump togetherJust a slight seep. Enough to haze the glass inside. I'm not a fan of stop leak but I might try that first.
200 high? No way....240 is high!Started the car today first time in 30 years ran pretty good. I put a 185 thermostat in it and its running at about 200 degrees which i thought was kinda high but thats at a idle i didn't take it for a ride yet.
200 is not going to do any damage to your vehicle. However, you might get a little sticky sitting in the car on hot days. That's why a lot of owners like to run as close to 180 as possible. It's more a secure feeling and comfort thing than a requirement.Started the car today first time in 30 years ran pretty good. Really? Normal operating temp is technically 210 I believe.....yes they run better with cooler air but too cool of an engine temp is not good either..200 would make me worry, for sure.
