Hi all,

I'm looking at AC kits for the Charger, Vintage Air or Classic Air seem to be the favourites but both have the compressor sitting on top of the PS pump. I was wondering if there are kits or maybe relocation brackets that move that unsightly compressor to somewhere else, such as below the alternator. My Charger is non-factor AC car.

Thanks for any advice.

I could be wrong but I believe that compressors are mounted that way for hose routing and ease of charging and maintaining. To mount them below the alternator would make charging a PIA and risk the hoses being damaged not to mention having to be lengthened.
Just my thoughts.

My CVF serpentine kit relocates the compressor low on the right side of the block.

These guys have some options for moving the AC compressor https://www.bouchillonperformance.com/inc/sdetail/467/571

Thanks for that.

It comes at a huge compromise which I didn't realise

1-You will loose your mounting for your Mechanical Fuel Pump
2-Some Engine Mounts and Insulators will require Clearancing and Modifications for fit.
3-Any Alternator other than Stock Output (15/60 amps) will cause a BELT SQUEAL FROM HELL! ALL HI Output Alternators (50/75 Amps) we list will not work.
4-This is the HARDEST BRACKET WE MANUFACTURE TO INSTALL CORRECTLY. Mounting Points have moved over the years in Castings, Fore and Aft. Compressor and Alternator is driven by 1 Single Belt. It is Highly Recommended that this bracket be installed while Engine is on an Engine Stand. Perfect Pulley Alignment is REQUIRED (+-.040"). A Straight Edge and Digital Calipers recommended to check TRUE PULLEY ALIGNMENT. PREMIUM BELT IS A MUST.
5-This Bracket is NOT Recommended for a vehicle that will be driven alot or long distances. Most popular applications are vehicles that stay close to home. Adjustments are hard to perform on the highway.
6-NOT HEEDING TO ALL NOTES ABOVE WILL AWARD YOU A "BELT SQUEAL FROM HELL"
7-Will not work with any Street Hemi, Aftermarket thick dampers

Can I trouble you for a picture of your setup?

I went through their website and can't find any brackets that will mount the compressor down low

This is the CVF setup.

This is SD Concepts. Not sure if they are still around. I have one of their setups too.

I wanted the compressor on the left side, I'm using the Edelbrock XT type intake manifold and the Vintage Air kit comes out low on the left side.

That looks so busy to me.
