the reverse lights on my 69 charger don't work i put new bulbs in and the plug is on the tranny something i should look for first ? wheres its power source

Pull the 3 wire plug off the transmission, jumper the outside two pins sockets, turn on the key and do you have reverse lights??

I just went in the garage and pulled the plug off and put the wire in the outer pin sockets and the lights work doe that mean the switch is bad ?

Yes.. that or the actuator isn't hitting the switch hard enough. See if you can turn the switch in 1/2 a turn or more and try it again before pulling it out.

Your a life saver thanks so much for the help I tried to tighten it a bit and then sprayed the plug and cleaned it and lightlysanded the pins and put it back together and bingo, i so happy
