I have an AC heater box that I was going to rebuild, but don’t have the time. So, before I start pulling the trigger on finding one already done, am I able to run an A/C box without running AC? I have the outer vents, just not sure if it’s going to be an issue.

also, is there any members or sponsors that rebuild these boxes?

You can run your car without having the a/c working, if that's your question. If the ac/heater box is installed and all other functions are working you would still have the fan and the heater if you needed it.

The firewalls are different between the two.

A/C firewall:

NON A/C firewall:

I converted my "Jigsaw" car to heater-defroster only. If I decide to add A/C later, I'll use a Classic Auto Air kit. It allows the engine bay to look less cluttered. THIS is my other '70, a factory A/C car with aftermarket A/C:

The use of a NON A/C firewall results in a cleaner , less cluttered look.
