I do the quantity. Once a good deal comes around I'm buying another car. That leaves less room to perfect the cars I already own.

That has pretty much been my plan. Makes it a little tough working on them as space is tight when it’s filled up.

I'd prefer one quality car and one driver - then I have the best of both worlds.

Right now I have two quality cars and one driver - so 3 classics total. That's a good number for me.

I have always been into quantity more then quality..I can't really even imagine not having to put together multiple engines....my goal is to enjoy them...I drive some gravel roads, cars get dirty....I doubt I will ever have something too nice to enjoy..no trailer queens....unless it runs 10s.
I am not looking for any more cars as I would be happy to get more of our collection on the road. With my brother we have at least a dozen car projects...its been fun to gather parts and building various drivetrains. We do almost everything ourselves, if you hire much done I could see it getting expensive real fast.
Lol...I am fine w a little roadkill vibe, but ultimately I want the street cars nice enough to take the wife out in and cruise. But I don't expect her to enjoy the ride in the passenger seat when I let go of the transbrake. :bananaweed:

Good question. I've been wrestling with this for some time. Currently, I have one classic, and that was the plan when I bought her... ONE. But now I'm pondering another project. Space is an issue, and of course there's the financial concerns. I'd have one of everything if I could, but a Joe Dirt rat rod may still be in the cards.

I side on quality
I don't need a bunch of cars trucks etc.
I'll hardly ever be able to drive or use

I like what I have now
99 Dakota SLT 4x4, daily driver, love that lil' truck

68 RR street beast, fun toy, spend too $$$ on

02 F350 4x4 Powerstroke diesel dually, tow rig
dad drives like a daily driver :BangHead: he's put 125k of the 150k on it

a 02 5th wheel travel trailer
my dad uses far more than I ever will

a 77 tri-hull bowrider fishing boat
that sits way too much

I would like to get rid of the boat when dad quits using it
I probably will get rid of the f350 when dad quits driving too
I will get rid of the travel trailer when dad quits tarveling

my truck & car is plenty

I don't have room for a bunch of stuff

& my mantra is
if it can't be under-roof/carports or in a garage
I won't even have it
winters & summer sun are brutal on stuff here

last thing I need a hoard of cars
needing to be insured & registered every year
when I don't use what I have even as much as I'd like to know
it'd be a real total waste

now if I had a bigger garage or shop
I'd like a couple more cars, another racecar, another collecter car
maybe a different truck to replace my Dakota
like the new TRX Ram badass
or possibly replace the RR with a different collector car,
maybe a Hemi Car or a Daytona Charger
maybe a Cobra or a Daytona Coupe or GT40 recreation etc.

but for now I'm content
I can only use 1 at a time anyway
I'd rather have a few quality cars/trucks etc.
then a bunch of marginal projects in various forms of disrepair
or let alone junk/hoards of "stuff"
"I'll get to someday"

I don't ever want to be that guy...

different strokes, for different folks
be boring if the world was
everyone acted & liked the same things

:luvplace:

Well I ended up with quantity, not saying I don't have quality but for me its about the process and the build. Once I have it about "done" I am already thinking about the next one. That said I think I am done for the most part as I have 2 E bodies, 2 B bodies and a A body not to mention a 10 Challenger PCP 6 spd RT and a 01 Viper GTS ACR.

My "retirement" plan is that once I get the 2 B bodies and perhaps the A body done, I am going to just circulate all of them one by one through the shop and "improve" them.

I get distracted easily.
I need to have at least two crappy cars to keep the excuse to tinker around with them.
Ginger is nice, not perfect but doesn't really need tinkering...

The project car Jigsaw now runs and drives but is cosmetically offensive..

The '67 Dart is like Jigsaw....Great mechanically but slightly less offensive to look at...

The '75 Power Wagon is my only 3/4 ton and only 4wd. I need it to move cars, haul trash and tow a trailer if/when I rent tractors.

The last three are all reliable but not what you'd drive with real nice clothes on!

QUANTITY! Quality you can control. The greatest car builder of all time with 0 cars makes how many gems?
