Birthday gift...

You sir have a great woman.... Congratulations on your new compressor... I agree Curtis is good but a US made IR is not a bad thing either....
Thank you, and yes I have a great wife. Made in the USA was a must in my decision.

Boy you got her fooled!

Nice gift for sure. IRs are good compressors. I think they are all getting like lawn mowers. One company makes most of the parts now days.
I have read that most compressors are made by the same manufacturer. Campbell Hausfield makes most popular brands like Kobalt and Dewalt. Craftsmen has an 80 gallon that is WAY over priced and I am not even sure that is American made.

Congratulations bro!!! You have a great wife for shure, but she have a great husband too, i don't forget the suv you buy her for her birthday a couple of years ago, you deserve each other, yeap that's a lot of for an air grinder:thumbsup::lol:

I gotta take my lug nuts off with something.

Congrats! Do yourself a favor and add a timed solenoid moisture drain to the tank.
Mike

Please explain Mike, I am not familiar with that.
Not Mike but instead of you remembering to drain the condensate every time you use the compressor it automatically does it for you... keeping water out of the tank & air lines....

Probably everything there is Chinese...

Here's my made in USA one....

I have an IR with a 60 gal tank. The thing is great. Even though I seldom work it hard, it really does the job. Years ago when I doing a lot of head porting with the die grinder, I had a Craftsman 3HP 30 gal. It got worn out from the die grinder, rebuilt a few times in 20+ years. Then got the IR. The 60 Gal IR tank fit through the door to the bathroom in my garage which is climate controlled.

Great Birthday gift !
IR is a very good compressor

Have you fired it up yet @Ironbuilt ?
.. and did you read the break in instructions before you did .... Some require zero load, ie an open air outlet on initial run.
Unfortunately I had to hit the road for a Wisconsin delivery so it's still sitting on the pallet.
Thanks for the start up advice , I will look into it.
This is my first stationary compressor that I've owned. My Dad replaced his shop compressor when I was a teenager but I didn't pay attention. Hence the reason why I'm asking for help and advice.
:luvplace:

That's the compressor I wanted!
Best compressor I've ever used!
I just got a craftsman pro 80gal because I couldn't afford that compressor!
Your a lucky guy wish my wife would do something nice for me!
Again happy bday man !
