Is this the future of our hobby?

Roughly even? I see you've never been blown away by a 10.40 car while in your 10.70 electric car.

I don't follow, they ran twice and they were within 0.1 of each other both times. Tesla and Hellcat each won once. Regardless, you are comparing a 5500 lb luxury car on street tires, to an 800HP muscle car on drag radials.

I'm thinking alchohol will work to run them on,we don't need no oil,we will just set up a still and make hooch to run our cars on! Picture a bunch of lit up rednecks racing around in classic muscle cars! My future is so bright, I gotta wear shades!

What I saw in the pictures was the Dodge ran a 10.4x-- then added up the RT time and called it a 10.7x. So that gives very little credibility to the author. And is the Tesla not 4wd? The type of tires matter very little, as long as it gets a good # down track. I would classify both of them as luxury cars. But opinions are like arseholes, and these are mine! lol

for the woke crowd I guess

I'll still be driving my fossil-fueled cars
I may be forced to do an EV
maybe when gasoline is out of this world prices

I'm for all the above, we can have good fossil-fueled cars
many today are getting far more out of the internal combustion engine
mileage & cleaner burning & huge HP/TQ gains too
burn way cleaning & far more efficient, then they were even 20 years ago

& EV's for those that like that ****

yep some impressive power too

it ain't cheap
much of the hobby revolves around cheap
we see threads almost daily about costs of the hobby or cars
that may be what shapes the hobby
more than politics or "green" scams

how will the grid support all these electric cars ?
coal or Natual gas-fired plants ? :jackoff:
the electric grid can't support what we have now
with very few %'s of electric/EV cars we have now
& now they (the woke eco-nazis) want to add 100 million cars
in the next 10 years
plugged in every day/night to that already overtaxed/overworked grid ? :screwy:

maybe this will bring back Nuclear plants
another dirty *** fuel, take millennia to store/fuel waste
all the woke neo-Nazis use to hate
or all the plastics they use, petroleum products
what about lubricants they use, petroleum products
yes they can do some pure synthetics too
how will they affect the economy or ecology ?
just like batteries being built for EV's, dirty *** **** :BangHead:
(they ain't all that green) mining of them or disposing of too

I doubt the Petroleum industry will just go away without a fight
or our adversaries that have all the oil-rich nations will just
go to even more extremes & start more wars because they
have no income or worth anymore, could start a whole new era of terror
we have not seen "yet"

could be serious ramifications

Like I said I'm all for, the "all of the above" approach
why does it have to be one or the other (woke nonsense)
you want an EV, go ahead, go for it, if that what blows your skirt up
you want internal combustion, go ahead too

:usflag:
