I acquired a 69 B-body that has been rotisserie restore Painted entirely underside and so on. No fender badging or Id tags or vin. Complete painted shell basically with no papers. What can I do to make it legit before I decide to even decide to put together

Call your local DMV and find out what they require. Each state is different. They will usually have a form with a list of requirements for different scenarios. But 1st step is check there.

69 have the numbers in front and back, that's part of the vin

Post pictures of it and we can show you where to look to ensure that you indeed dont have any numbers on it.

No #'s on the upper radiator support or trunk gutter? No VIN tag on the dash frame?

if the dmv lets you title it your probably getting a rebuild vin , it wont have a vin like a production car has it will just be in the series they are using for home built trailers and stuff

Please tell me, why'd you buy a car with nothing to go on, not even a VIN??? How do you know it's not a stolen car??? Better yet, how'd you get a title with no VIN, you did get a title didn't you?? If not, why not with no VIN?
If you don't have anything to prove it's a Road Runner, then it's just another cheap-*** Belvedere Taxi cab that probably started life with a /6!!! Sounds like you really screwed your own pooch on this one! Good Luck

That’s what I’m learning here

just pointing out that maybe he didnt "PAY" for it..............huge difference in terms of "screwing the pooch"

Have you looked at the radiator support for numbers? How about the trunk lip, on the driver's side?
How about the vin tag on the dash?

I remember when I was in high school the local sheriff cut open the rear frame rail on a 67 camaro to access a vin number of a stripped car to fin out it was stolen , there may be more vin stamps then we are aware of

Is the original back seat unmolested? You never know, the build sheet may still be there. A long shot I know, but find that and match it to the trunk lip and rad support and viola.

How bout helping him how to find out if the car is stolen or about how to find info about it instead of just ragging on the guy? C'mon man, can't ya beez not be so negative all the time?

Even if it was free, he's going to have to pay to get rid of it! His pooch is still screwed!

I guess honesty is now negativity? Sorry for being truthful!
