Thinking of buying a reproduction hood lip molding for my 67 GTX but I can't tell how the dark argent paint looks. Has anyone purchased one? Do you like it? Can you send or post a pic of the painted area? Thanks all.

Not sure about the 67 but my repro 66 hood lip is a piece of extruded aluminum rather than stamped aluminum. It matches in cross section perfectly, looks beautiful and is more solid and heavier than the original. But it doesn't have any paint detail so can't answer your specific question.

Let me see if I have a pic for you hold on, no sorry, but will get you one up close tomorrow if will help

yes, please. Do you like the quality of it as well? Thanks.
Yes , good quality, but not sure at moment where I bought it , but here are some pics !

Hey I have question for you , is that an air shield under the frt of the grille and that’s the right location?

My grille and headlight bezels were restored so matching the color is important to me. I have some dark argent paint but was hoping the reproduction molding would come close.

That’s the radiator splash shield I think you see. Aka gravel shield too. Is that what you're looking at?

But for the color match mine matches perfectly but it came from restorer that did my grille and trunk finish panel! Like your stripes also nice touch, had a new Gtx in 67 no stripes ordered then so I didn’t go that way on this one , but very Cool !

I am glad I found this one some years ago. It’s taking time to finish it but it is my favorite so it’s worth the wait

It's a good looking body style in a great color... Gonna be a stunner when you get it on the road...

Yes takes time to do it right bought mine early 2015 got it driveable in late 2020 but still doing things I knew I wanted all along ! Just completed disc conversion on frt and tomorrow start a/c install for wife ! She was a great help in this build , at first fussed when I would turn Resto show on , now she talked the lengo! She helped with all interior install , what a Gal ! Ok keep at it , it pays off in the end , it’s going to be a looker !
