I am wondering if any of you have installed this kit as I am having problems with installing the rear cable assembly from the rear wheels to the threaded rod cable mounted in the rear transmission support that comes from the emergency brake pedal assembly in the front under the left side of the dash on my 1964 Dodge 440 2 door sedan with 11" rear brakes.

I am about 2" short from being able to make the attachment to the threaded rod.
Anyone have any experience with this kit or any suggestions?

And yes, I also emailed their tech support, but no answer as yet from them.

Sounds like the cable assembly was made for a Plymouth which has a 2 inch shorter wheelbase.

I had same problem when I put my '64 Polara 500 convertible together years ago. I just asked the supplier to make another cable for me 4" or 5" longer.

Thank everyone for their response.
I found on another site that someone else had the same problem with their 1964 Dodge Polara finding that they also needed the intermediate cable to be 2" longer.

My question is then: Why hasn't Inline Tube addressed this problem?"

Dave6T4--I think that I'll do what you've suggested and have them make up another cable for me.
Thanks to everyone for their suggestions and help.

I forgot to mention that the intermediate cable is 116" in over all length end to end.
I hope that information and my problem with the Inline Tube kit will help another to avoid the same problems in the future.

Check and make sure that the cable ends are sitting in the little clips the right way on the first cable at the trans cross member and also on the foot brake as well. If all of that is good they probably gave you the wrong one. Also make sure that the foot brake is in the up position (off).

Dan64, I have previously done all that you suggested. Still coming up short.
I am curious, did you replace your emergency parking brake system?
I so, do you know the length of the intermediate cable that you ended up using?

Yes, i just replaced mine in my 64' Polara . I also used Inline tube but had to cut the intermediate cable to tie it to my rear cables that are not the stock type. They are cables for the Wilwood disc brakes with e brake drum. Sorry,i didn't take a measurement before i cut it. Honestly , I would do what 493 Mike suggested, it's probably the best way to make it work.
